What is a PIR detector?
PIR (Passive Infrared) detectors react only to specific sources of energy, such as the heat given off by the human body or animals.
PIR sensors are mainly used as part of a security system. When a PIR sensor detects an intruder, it captures the information and sends it to the alarm receiving centre (ARC) to report the intrusion.
AJ-MOTIONPROTECT-W is a wireless motion detector that alerts the owner at the first sign of intrusion. The detector is wall-mounted facing doors and other places where intruders might enter. It works for up to 7 years without a battery change. It ignores animals, yet can recognise a person from their very first step into the room.
