Glass break detector for AJAX alarm systems.
GlassProtect is a wireless detector that detects breaking glass at a distance of up to 9 metres. It picks up the break using an electret microphone that registers both the sound of the impact on the glass and the sound of the glass falling. It is designed for indoor use, runs for up to 7 years on the pre-installed battery, and includes an input for connecting an additional detector.
Dual glass break detection prevents false alarms caused by thunder, barking dogs or the noise of passing lorries.
GlassProtect works as part of the Ajax security system and connects to the control panel (Ajax hub) via the Jeweller security protocol. Communication range: up to 1000 metres without obstacles. The detector can also be used as part of third-party control panels via the uartBridge or ocBridge Plus integration modules.
The detector is configured through a mobile app for iOS and Android smartphones. The user is notified of all events via push notifications, SMS messages and calls (if enabled).
The Ajax security system is self-sufficient, but the user can also connect it to the alarm receiving centre (ARC) of a private security company.
