How does FIREPROTECT work?
FireProtect is a wireless indoor fire detector equipped with a siren. It can detect smoke and rises in temperature, runs for up to 4 years on the pre-installed batteries and can operate autonomously.
FireProtect works as part of the Ajax security system and connects to the hub via the Jeweller security protocol. It has a communication range of 1300 metres with no obstacles. The detector can also be used as part of third-party security control panels via the uartBridge or ocBridge Plus integration modules.
The detector is configured through a mobile app for iOS and Android smartphones. The user is notified of all events via push notifications, SMS messages and calls (if enabled).
FireProtect can also work independently of the control panel (hub), sounding a fire alarm with its built-in siren. Several detectors raise the alarm simultaneously.
