What is a HUB?
The Hub is the control panel of a security system. It manages all Ajax devices, arms and disarms the property and, in the event of a threat, notifies both the alarm receiving centre (ARC) and you.
Why choose an AJAX alarm control panel?
AJAX devices communicate over the proprietary Jeweller protocol, which gives the whole system outstanding reliability thanks to its dual-path connection (Ethernet and GPRS) and the optimised battery life of its devices.
The supervised two-way link between detectors and accessories uses radio frequency on Ajax's own Jeweller protocol in the 868 MHz band, and holds Grade 2 certification.
The wireless link is highly reliable thanks to the advanced Jeweller protocol with high-security AES encryption. Its exclusive instant, intelligent supervision system detects signal jamming by identifying a set period of inactivity, and at the same time reduces maintenance costs by considerably extending detector battery life without compromising security. The wireless signal can cover distances of up to 2 km in open space. It also includes features that make installation easier, such as the SmartBracket mount and simple pairing of detectors with the alarm system.
It supports up to 100 wireless zones, which can be grouped into up to 9 different groups, each of which can be armed, partially armed or disarmed independently. These Ajax wireless devices offer a range of settings, such as 24-hour zone, zone with entry or exit delay, and more.
The AJ-HUB-W panel has an AC 110-250 V power input plus a rechargeable backup battery lasting up to 15 hours.
Ethernet communication is its main advantage for remote access, both for the user and the installer, as it allows connection through the AJAX PRO Desktop PC software and the iOS and Android mobile apps Ajax Security Systems (end user) and AJAX PRO: Tool for Engineers (professionals). These apps let you configure the entire system, manage users and their permissions, add devices, group them into rooms and change their settings. The cloud service works with dynamic IP addresses with no need to open ports.

This entry-level model does not support photo detectors or the combi keypad.
